Folks come to Polk County from all over for equestrian activities both to compete and to enjoy the action. Now there is another reason for riders and spectators to come to our area for equestrian fun. This show will feature riding styles from western to hunt seat and equines from mules to Icelandics and many other breeds.

Astronomy Program - Venus in the Evening Twilight May 11, 2013 from 08:30 PM to 10:30 PM — FENCE on Hawk's Ridge,

The Foothills Astronomical Society sponsors a program each month at FENCE. Programs start at sunset and last as long as you want to stay. Telescopes are set up to view stars and planets, and a great variety of interesting and beautiful celestial objects. The astronomers are friendly and informative, and you do not have to have any knowledge of astronomy in order to have a good time. Programs are canceled in case of cloud cover or rain. Please park at the main building and walk to the top of Hawk’s Ridge.

Cello Times Two! has been together for about a year. Cellists Ben Smith and Brenda Leonard play a variety of classical and popular music, including pieces originally written for two cellos and other works that have been arranged for this ensemble.
