Kieran Roe, Executive Director of Conserving Carolina, will share the excitement around the 47,000 acres in Henderson, Polk, Transylvania and parts of neighboring counties that are currently under conservation through Conserving Carolina. Think “get people outside”, land protection, trails, greenways, and potential rails to trails. Find out what the biggest threats are: development patterns and climate threat. Bring your friends and learn what’s happening in our very own part of the world!

This yoga class is designed for all levels, first time yoga students welcome! Attendees should plan to bring a water bottle, comfortable, flexible clothing, and a yoga mat. Extra yoga mats are available to borrow at FENCE. These classes are made possible by the free community event grant at Polk County Community Foundation.

FENCE is excited to host their first pasta making class with Launa Tierney “the pasta lady” and face of Homemade Pasta Noodles! Attendees will get to make their own homemade fettuccine to take home with them. After the hands-on portion of the class, attendees will enjoy dinner featuring fettuccine with homemade tomato basil sauce, salad, local bread. This class is $55 per person to attend. All supplies and ingredients are included in the $55 fee. Don’t miss out on this fun, fettuccine making experience! Space is limited, contact FENCE to register.
