Walk on the Wild Side with Carlton Burke Sep 09, 2017 from 09:00 AM to 11:00 AM — FENCE Center,

Carlton Burke will be visiting FENCE and leading a nature hike on the property. Meet at the FENCE nature center at 9am on Saturday, September 9th for a guided hike with local naturalist, Carlton Burke. He brings along much expertise about the natural world! This hike will focus on all things encountered along the way and is appropriate for all ages. Thank you to the Kirby Endowment at the Polk County Community Foundation for making programs like these possible.

Family Concert with Free Wheelin' Mamas Sep 10, 2017 from 04:00 PM to 05:00 PM — FENCE Center,

Foothills Equestrian Nature Center offers another concert in their free family concert series with Freewheelin' Mamas. The concert will take place in the great room at FENCE and is offered free to the public. Following the performance refreshments will be served.

Kid's Nature Club Sep 12, 2017 from 03:00 PM to 05:00 PM — FENCE Center,

The activities offered will be both fun and educational aimed to engage children between the ages of 5 and 12. The “Kids Nature Club” will be offered free and open to the public and will be held on a drop in basis, so adults should plan to accompany their children while at FENCE. Families are encouraged to bring their kids by for the “Kids Nature Club” but also spend some time during their visit exploring the trails. This month’s theme is Insects. Kids will get a chance to investigate some insects and create an insect themed craft.

Free Yoga Sep 29, 2017 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM — FENCE Center,

FENCE will be offering a free yoga series on Friday mornings held in the FENCE great room. The yoga classes are lead by local instructor Rhonda Giles. All ages and yoga enthusiasts of all levels are welcome. Attendees are encouraged to bring a water bottle to the class. Yoga mats will be available for use. These classes are made possible by the free community event grant at Polk County Community Foundation.

REFIT® is a group exercise class which focuses on positivity, health, and community led by Debbi Ware. Classes are free and open to anyone in the community regardless of age, shape, size, or ability. Workouts are choreographed to be fun with uplifting music and moves designed to get you toned, flexing, and your heart rate up.

Letters to Abigail will perform in the great room at FENCE. This concert is free and open to the public. Letters To Abigail is an acoustic Americana band that combines heartfelt lyrics and silky harmonies to create a unique, and refreshing sound. Following the performance refreshments will be served. Join international bird guide Aaron Steed for a walk in the woodlands and fields of FENCE and look for a variety of migrant songbirds.Fall migration will be past its peak but there will still be much to see in the way of birds.

Bring the family out to FENCE for our second annual Celebrate Fall at FENCE festival. This free, family event will focus on enjoying nature. The festival will offer lots of entertainment including music, storytelling, food, live animal encounters, children's activities, and much more!

Stadium and Pace Schooling Oct 17, 2017 from 03:00 PM to 07:00 PM — FENCE Equestrian Side,

FENCE has a great schooling opportunity! Trainers are encouraged to come with you but not required! Are you looking to brush up on your skills riding a stadium jumper course or working on pacing your horse for a cross country event? Two stadium courses will be set up in the show rings and the Steeplechase track will be open with meter markers to help improve your skills and endurance. The cost is $25. Helmet and a negative coggins is required
