She did not realize then the connections between water quality and health The issues surrounding the topic fascinated her and she began studying it from different perspectives (population pressures, environmental changes, land-use impacts, etc.).

FENCE’s annual Go Fly a Kite day is a fun filled day for the whole family! The first 200 children will receive a kite to fly up on Hawk’s ridge. Drinks and snacks will be provided to all who attend. This year be sure to stop by our face painting table.

Join us on the paved trail at FENCE to continue our battle with invasive species. We will work for about 2 hours removing invasive species such as Privet, Bittersweet, Kudzu, and Tree of Heaven. Work gloves and some tools will be provided but if you have your own tools please bring those along. Don’t forget to dress for the weather and bring water.
