All FENCE Events

Roastin on the Ridge Nov 25, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 04:00 PM — FENCE Center,

This year marks our 5th year of Roastin on the Ridge. Tickets are $60. Each ticket includes oysters, hearty chicken gumbo, wine and beer. Live music will round out the afternoon with the festivities ending at 4 pm. Proceeds benefit the many community programs offered by FENCE

Family Concert-The Moon and You Feb 18, 2024 from 04:00 PM to 05:00 PM — FENCE Center,

Join FENCE for their first concert of 2024 featuring The Moon and You. This event is free and open to the public. At its core, The Moon and You is a charismatic husband-and-wife team. Melissa Hyman plays cello, Ryan Furstenberg plays guitar and banjo, and both sing in “voices that sound like they were made for one another” (Bill DeYoung, Connect Savannah). But whatever you might assume based on their gorgeous vocal blend and heartfelt lyrics, this ain’t your basic folk duo. With a rotating cast of talented friends to add unexpected instrumentation to their lineup, The Moon and You never plays the same show twice. This ever-evolving, expandable and collapsible model leaves the band constantly reinventing itself in ways both surprising and satisfying.

Winter Bird Walk Feb 21, 2024 from 09:00 AM to 11:00 AM — FENCE Center,

This is a great time of year to see woodpeckers and sparrows. We’ll spend the morning exploring FENCE’s network of trails and should find plenty of these winter birds. This program is free and open to the public. Please, dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes for walking, and bring along binoculars if you have them. This event is made possible by the Kirby Endowment at the Polk County Community Foundation.

Wine & Paint Night Feb 21, 2024 from 06:00 PM to 08:00 PM — FENCE Center,

On Wednesday, February 21st from 6 to 8 p.m. FENCE will host a Wine and Paint night featuring local artist, Becky Hyatt Rickenbaker. Becky will walk attendees through the painting process on a pre-sketched canvas. Beginner painters are welcome to attend! Each attendee will take home a painting that they can add to their home decor or gift to a loved one! All supplies are included in the fee for the class. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Contact FENCE to register for the class.
