Wonders of Winter Ecology Walk

Join Naturalist, Luke Cannon, for an afternoon of exploring the hidden life of the winter landscape. We will learn about woodland trees and plants, birds and bird language, animal tracks and sign, and how wildlife responds and adapts to the pressures of winter.

This event is free and open to the public thanks to funding from the Kirby Endowment at the Polk County Community Foundation. Registration is required for this event.

Please remember to dress appropriately for the weather, wear layers to be warm either hiking or stopped to discuss discoveries. Bring along a water bottle, snacks, and anything else you may need for a few hours out on the trail. Good footwear and the ability to walk on woodland trails with slopes. This event is geared towards adults but teens are welcome to join if accompanied with an adult.
