Join us for a leisurely guided bird walk around the FENCE property. This event is free and open to the public. Please wear comfortable shoes, bring a water bottle, and pack binoculars if you have them.

Join international bird guide Aaron Steed and explore the FENCE grounds for a variety of songbirds at the height of fall migration! Southbound birds heading to their wintering grounds in the new world tropics will be passing through WNC en masse and a walk in the woods at this time of year can be quite exciting. We hope to encounter a flurry of warblers, tanagers, vireos, thrushes, flycatchers, raptors and more - and who knows what other surprises may be in store!
