Join us as we discover the natural history of the southern Blue Ridge Escarpment. We will begin atop the Blue Ridge Escarpment and explore the plants and animals of these high elevation habitats and how they survive on these “islands in the sky". An abrupt drop of 2000 feet will take us to the valleys and mountain cove forest that are home for many species that survive in cool moist environments.
