FREE Mushroom walk/talk with Charlotte Caplan
Join local mycologist, Charlotte Caplan for a mushroom hike on the FENCE property. This hike will begin at the main FENCE building. It is free and open to the public. Whether you are an experienced mushroom hunter or you are just interested in learning more about the mushroom world, this should be a fun and educational hike for all who attend! Following the hike Charlotte will lead an informal talk about mushrooms with time for Identifying mushrooms found on the hike and questions.

FREE Didgeridoo program with Steve O’Neil
Steve O’Neil will be joining us again in the great room to present a very special program about the Didgeridoo. This is a unique program about the ancient Australian Aboriginal musical instrument the Didgeridoo.

Invasive species talk with John Vining
Join us in the great room at FENCE for a presentation by John Vining about local invasive species and how we can combat them. Invasive removal work hours following the presentation has been postponed due to rain. Please come out to volunteer on March 17.

Invasive removal workday - Volunteer Wanted!!!
Join us on the paved trail at FENCE to continue our battle with invasive species. We will work for about 2 hours removing invasive species such as Privet, Bittersweet, Kudzu, and Tree of Heaven. Work gloves and some tools will be provided but if you have your own tools please bring those along. Don’t forget to dress for the weather and bring water.

Beginner Horse Camp
June 16 through June 20 is horse camp for ages 8 to 12, where participants learn the basics of horse care, including horse safety, grooming and tacking up. Students also learn how to mount a horse, to dismount and how to walk and trot when mounted. This camp is limited to 25 campers, starts at 8:30 AM and ends at 12:30 PM. The cost per camper is $150.

Intermediate Horse Camp
Ages 8 through 12, begins on June 23 with the last day on June 27. Sessions start at 8:30 AM and end at 12:30 PM, with a cost of $150 per camper. For this class campers must have attended at least one full session of beginner’s horse camp (listed above) or have received prior approval from FENCE. This class is also limited to 25 campers. FENCE All Day Camp
AGES (5-12) $150.00 SESSION 8A.M. – 5P.M. THIS CAMP WILL BE AN ALL DAY CAMP WITH A MIXTURE OF ALL THE OTHER CAMPS INCLUDING, EXPLORING NATURE, LEARNING ABOUT THE EARTH & ASTRONOMY, AND SURVIVAL SKILLS.
