Spring Bird Hike with Simon Thompson
-
FENCE welcomes everyone from first time birders to advanced birders to join Simon Thompson, local ornithologist for his walk on the FENCE property!
Everyone loves birding in the spring and there are few places nicer than the Carolina Foothills in April. The flowers are opening and the birds are all singing. Brown Thrashers sing their rich songs from the treetops and Eastern Bluebirds are probably already on eggs, and the first broods of Carolina Chickadees and Tufted Titmice may have already hatched. We should enjoy warm weather and birdsong on a fine spring day.
This event is made possible by the Kirby Endowment at the Polk County Community Foundation.
