Nature Presentation with Jim Welch
Jim Welch, former host of the public television series NatureScene will share stories and experiences of his 20 year adventure in the natural areas of all 50 states and around the world. From close up encounters with bears, bison, elk, moose, and snakes to the quiet observations of birds and butterflies, the program should bring all a more intense appreciation of Nature. From the Blue Ridge of the Carolinas to the oldest and deepest freshwater lake in the world, Lake Baikal in Siberia, the adventures should impart a greater appreciation of our natural world and all that is in it.

Holiday concert with Blue Ridge Ringers
The Blue Ridge Ringers, a regional hand bell ensemble, will present a concert of "Rings & Rhythms of the Season". This is a wonderful and diverse selection of music to get you into the spirit of the season. Come and enjoy at FENCE on Sunday, December 18th at 4:00 PM.

Kids Nature Club
The activities offered will be both fun and educational aimed to engage children between the ages of 5 and 12. The “Kids Nature Club” will be offered free and open to the public and will be held on a drop in basis, so adults should plan to accompany their children while at FENCE. Families are encouraged to bring their kids by for the “Kids Nature Club” but also spend some time during their visit exploring the trails.
