TROT needs volunteers!

Volunteers are the lifeblood of our TROT program! Therapeutic Riding of Tryon (TROT) offers horsemanship skills to adults and children with physical, cognitive, development and emotional challenges in a safe, friendly, and supportive environment. Our spring program starts Monday, March 20th and is offered each Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday afternoons until May 24th. We are looking for volunteers who can devote two hours, once a week, to supporting participants. Horse experience is not required as volunteers participate in a hands-on training session.

Our training session for the spring program will be February 23rd and 25th from 9:00 a.m. to Noon at the FENCE house and Rosemary’s Barn.  If you would like more information about our program, we would love to hear from you.  Please contact Kathleen Watkins at 828-859-9021 or complete an online application at
