 onsoring a Fall Foliage Ride in the Gowensville\, SC area. This "in th
 e shadows of the blue ridge" ride is made possible by a special arrang
 ement with the generous land owners. These trails are otherwise comple
 tely private. Sue McDaniel will lead the ride at a very leisurely pace
 \, and participants MUST stay with the group.  Horses need to be manne
 red\, be willing to cross streams\, be able to travel briefly on grave
 l roads\, and fit enough to walk for 3 hours up and down hills. The vi
 ews are gorgeous and FENCE hopes that many trail riders will take adva
 ntage of this unique opportunity to ride on trails normally not availa
 ble to the public. The cost is $35 per horse and certified helmets are
  advised.
