Family Concert with the Treblemakers

Genre bending and blending, The Treblemakers take familiar tunes and serve them up with a twist. Take a musical journey, from Bossa Nova to Celtic to Baroque to Rock 'n Roll to New Age, all without leaving your seat. What the three women of the The Treblemakers have in common is their love of playing music together, their curiosity about every kind of music, and their willingness to explore and arrange for their instruments, which include guitars, melodicas, and assorted synthesizers.

Formerly on the faculty of the University of Toledo, she has a performance degree from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and a Master’s degree in Music Education from Bowling Green State University. Frances Demoretcky received a Master’s degree in music with a major in flute from Manhattan School of Music in NYC. For many years, she taught flute and was a member of orchestras and opera companies. More recently, she enjoys exploring the musical possibilities of a relatively new instrument , the melodica, arranging music for melodica groups and organizing workshops. Fran lives in Hendersonville. Asheville multi-instrumentalist, harpsichordist and composer Barbara Weiss plays with groups around the Southeast, including Muses Delight, Pan Harmonia, and the NC Baroque Orchestra. In a previous life she traveled around the country performing and recording as a Baroque music specialist and taught at Oberlin and Peabody Conservatories, among others.
