TR&HC Annual Block House Steeplechase Races
Since 1947, the TR&HC Block House Steeplechase Races have ushered in spring with elegant hats, tailgating, family reunions, and the sound & sight of thoroughbreds thundering past for a win. The Block House is the longest running steeplechase in the state of North Carolina and crowds of 18,000 to 20,000 annually attend the races.

TROT Horse Show
Therapeutic Riding of Tryon will host its Annual Student Horse Show. The purpose of this horse show is to give all 25 students the opportunity to showcase their skills and accomplishments – and to have fun doing it! Barbara DiPalma will judge this year’s competition and each student will participate in two classes, equitation and trail. Ribbons will be awarded in each class. Ring B at FENCE will be the competition arena unless there is bad weather. In case of rain, the competition will be moved to the covered arena.
