She did not realize then the connections between water quality and health The issues surrounding the topic fascinated her and she began studying it from different perspectives (population pressures, environmental changes, land-use impacts, etc.).

Haley will speak about her semester abroad in the East African countries of Kenya and Tanzania. She spent three months in the Wildlife Management Studies program with the School for Field Studies learning about everything from native language and culture to human-wildlife conflict and ways to mitigate it.

Wherever he ended up, he could always be certain to be welcomed by one of these looming golden spires. Preston will talk about train travel on British colonial era railways, traditional Burmese marionette performance and crawling through the dusty chambers of ancient stone temples. He'll also bring along examples of Burmese textiles, currency, and a few audio recordings he made while visiting!
